Weekend Recap:
Starting with Friday it was a good weekend all in all. I was able to get to the gym two of the three days and go for a ride on all days. I was able to enjoy spending time helping a USF friend and meet some other USF colleagues. We will have the shared experience of a ridiculous teacher that has no tact. The teacher in fact seems to take great delight in making her students squirm with hate while she has them under the thumb of the grading pen. What amazes me about both my classmates and the team that is working through the teacher currently is that nobody is giving up. I think that’s what makes me the most proud of my dear friend. It’s inspiring to see her grow as a writer and know that she’s going to go on to do wonderful things. It’s so inspiring in fact that I’ve already started to think about NaNoWriMo. Again, I will be working through this only this time I will have the added pressures of school to deal with as well. Her teammates are also neat but as I don’t know them quite as well I can’t say that they ‘inspire’ me but I have felt the same angst that they are feeling now.

Excuse me i’ma let you finish but…first some
Miscellaneous Thoughts:

Why am I working alone on my final in “group dynamics”?
Meatloaf is horrible in the movie Blood Rayne — not that the movie was in any way good to begin with. He’s just extra stinky.
Supreme Court Gym never called me back regarding my request for a change in my monthly fees. What does this mean?
My future worries me still. While not a happy thought I’m trying to suppress it with little success.
I have just over a year left in school. Awesome.
When I graduate, I want to be completely different
I hate it when GrooveShark.com goes down … Grrrrr

Ok back to your weekend recap…

Saturday was not as much a waste as I had thought it would be. After a nice ride I got a bit of cleaning done and captured the rest of the day by watching the Stanford game. While Stanford lost the game itself was really good. I made a decision to look at other gyms that night as well. While I like the fact that my gym is close and serves beer, I do not like the fact that they raised the price on me and now allowed dogs to roam around unsupervised while I am trying to workout. Now I love dogs but I like them to have their owner/master/trainer/protector/human-mate nearby to take control. Not having someone like this around and seeing this made me rethink what service am I really getting out of this place. I have looked at 24HF and they are much cheaper just a bit farther away. From what I am thinking now, I figure that I can ride to the new gym and back and get a good sweat. It is a longer ride but that’s a good thing. Plus, if I add a decent workout in between rides I’ll be doing great. Now I can ride to the old gym and barely get warmed up. Maybe there’s more to the change then the dogs and rate hike (which I wasn’t notified of).

Sunday was a lazy day but I managed to go to the gym again. A quick ride there, a nice run on the elliptical, some added machines here and there with a pushed ride back made for a great workout. I had to hurry though as the boys from my study group were coming over. We had to finish our paper and we’re almost done now. It was nice to have them over as not only did we work on our paper but we seemed to also connect a bit. One of the guys confided in us with an issue that was running through his head, another seemed to do the same but on a different manner. It seemed that we just were able to connect, become closer/friendlier and do more that night then just a paper. While the pizza vanished and I was sad to see them leave it was a good night and I knew that I would sleep well.
